Amazon Freight Now Offers Money Back

Amazon Freight Now Offers Money Back Through American Express

You've heard of grocery or restaurant cashback, but what about freight cashback? That's exactly what Amazon Freight is doing through a partnership with American Express. With the new offering, shippers and trucking companies earn 3%, or five cents, for every load they book through the company's transport arm. Sure, but transporting freight can get expensive. Earlier this month, FreightWaves CEO Craig Fuller explained the ups and downs of the truck cycle, and how expensive land transportation can be when certain conditions are met. And while trucking rates steadily come back to earth after a wild winter, a little cash never hurts.

The offer from Amazon Freight (NASDAQ: AMZN), announced on its website on Wednesday was given runs until February 27, 2023 and is valid for eligible American Express cardholders. Amazon Business American Express Card members can earn 3 ck per load, while Amazon Business Prime American Express Card members can earn 5 ck. Unsurprisingly, the offer is only for services in the bottom 48 is valid for states that were purchased directly from Amazon Freight as a registered dealer.

For decades, most U.S. businesses have relied on the Big Three carriers – UPS (NYSE: UPS), FedEx (NYSE: FDX), and the Postal Service to handle most of their ground. Broadcasts. However, Amazon quickly carved its own niche in the freight industry.

Forwarders and freight forwarders were cold when AmazonFreight launched in 2019. However Amazon's shipping division has steadily evolved into a legitimate domestic carrier. While it doesn't quite compete with the Big Three, it has a network of over 30,000 trailers, plus additional capacity through carrier partners.

Amazon Freight offers a few different services. It uses its network to provide inbound shipments to Amazon facilities, outbound shipments to customer facilities, and inter-plant shipping between a company's own facilities. All of these shipments are now
eligible for a refund.
