NEW GENERATION TURKISH MADE TRANSPORT WAGONS
Rising interest for Turkish made transport wagons in Europe
Cahit Turhan, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure of The Republic of Turkey, stated that 400 freight wagons to be produced for Gatx company will be produced in cooperation with the private sector and Tüdemsaş. In this context, Turan announced that 3 protocols have been signed between Tüdemsaş and Gök Yapı, and stated that the protocol for the production of 150 80-foot Sggrs type container wagons signed in 2020 for the Austria-based company Gatx has been updated and 250 more have been added to the same plan. Stating that the interest in the new generation container transport wagons is also from the France-based TOUAX company, Minister Turan said, "It has been decided to produce 200 90 feet container wagons and 600 bogies for TOUAX."
