The Danish ocean shipping company announced on Feb. 9 that A.P. Moller-Maersk announced plans to acquire Pilot Freight Services.
Pilot is a full-service global shipping and logistics provider based in Glen Mills, PA. The company specializes in the large and bulky shipping segment in North America. Copenhagen-based Maersk plans to expand its procurement-integrated logistics offerings deeper into the supply chain. The planned transaction price is $1.68 billion.
