Kadın Eli Documentary Screening
The Kadın Eli documentary screening focused on the establishment, activities, and contributions to regional development of a women’s cooperative operating in Iğdır. Through the documentary, the economic and social value of women’s labor, the culture of solidarity among women, collective production practices, and the role of social entrepreneurship in local development were examined.
The event emphasized how women’s active participation in production processes contributes to strengthening their economic independence, promoting local products, and supporting sustainable development. It was also highlighted that women’s cooperatives are not merely economic organizations, but important social structures that encourage sharing, solidarity, participatory decision-making, and collective action toward common goals.
Following the documentary screening, assessments were made with the participation of Asst. Prof. Aysun Kaya Deniz. The discussion addressed the importance of supporting women’s entrepreneurship, increasing the visibility of local production, and using cooperative structures to strengthen women’s position in social and economic life. The event contributed to raising participants’ awareness of women’s labor, social entrepreneurship, collective production, and social solidarity.
