Message From the Head of Department to Our Students
Dear Students,
Our Department, which started its education and training activities in the Faculty of Economics, Administrative and Social Sciences of Istanbul Gelisim University in the 2016-2017 Academic Year Autumn Term under the name of ‘Department of International Business and Trade’ and then changed its name to ‘International Trade and Business continues its educational activities in order to meet the needs of enterprises operating in the field of international trade and business, especially equipped in accordance with the requirements of the age, with the ability to analyse problems and find solutions.
In order to train the staff needed by the enterprises engaged in international trade, business management, accounting, e-business and trade, financial management, mathematics, foreign trade, business law, entrepreneurship and SME management, management and organisation, strategic management, digital marketing, world economy, occupational health and safety, logistics and supply chain management, conflict and crisis management and similar courses are taught in our department and some of our students voluntarily do internships in some enterprises engaged in international trade.
While some of our graduates turn to academic careers, some of them can work as export and import specialists in national and international enterprises operating in both public and private sectors; as managers in production, marketing, accounting-finance, human resources, public relations and similar departments.
In summary, we will be happy to see you who want to work in businesses operating in the field of international trade and business administration, who will enter business life with more knowledge, skills and behavioural maturity after the education in our department, and who will be able to make creative and original studies.
