Assoc. Prof. Başak Özarslan Participates as a Speaker at the “Technovation Girls Lunch Event” Program
Assoc. Prof. Başak Özarslan was a speaker at the “Technovation Girls Lunch Event” program hosted by SabancıDX and supported by UN Women and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
The event, which aimed to empower girls and young women in the field of technology, addressed the themes of digital transformation, entrepreneurship, and sustainable development. Speaking at the program, Özarslan drew attention to the impact of improving digital skills on social development. She emphasized that access to technology not only expands individual career opportunities but is also one of the fundamental dynamics of inclusive economic growth.
In her speech, Özarslan stated that increasing female employment is critical to sustainable development goals and expressed that introducing young girls to technology at an early age will provide long-term social and economic benefits.
The Technovation Girls program aims to strengthen problem-solving and leadership skills by encouraging young girls to develop technology-based social enterprises. At the event, students, mentors, and industry representatives came together to share their experiences.
