In July 2024, when the exports of the provinces of activity were analyzed, Istanbul ranked first with 6 billion 586 million dollars. Kocaeli ranked second with 2 billion 296 million dollars, Izmir third with 1 billion 808 million dollars, Bursa second with 1 billion 277 million dollars and Tekirdağ fifth with 1 billion 135 million dollars.
According to the data on the increase in exports on the basis of activity provinces compared to the same month of last year, Istanbul ranked first again with an increase of 2 billion 304 million dollars (53.8%), while Çorum ranked second with an increase of 323 million dollars, Tekirdağ ranked third with an increase of 190 million dollars, Sakarya ranked fourth with an increase of 153 million dollars and Eskişehir ranked fifth with an increase of 76 million dollars.
Stating that a strategy focused on high value-added, competitive, product and market diversification has been adopted, the Ministry of Trade added that they aim to spread exports across the country and raise the level of welfare in the country through increased production and employment.
