In order to strengthen the friendship between Turkiye and Azerbaijan, the Golden Palm Award Ceremony was held in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan. At the ceremony, where many successful names from the art, media and business worlds attended, Istanbul Gelişim University (IGU) was selected as the "University of the Year", and IGU Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Abdülkadir Gayretli, was deemed worthy of the "Business Person of the Year Award".
