Department of Economics and Finance

 

Located within the Faculty of Economics, Administrative and Social Sciences at Istanbul Gelişim University, the Department of Economics and Finance is one of the most sought-after departments in higher education, thanks to its rich curriculum encompassing theoretical and current knowledge in areas such as economics, finance, statistics, and globalization. The Department of Economics and Finance, which trains qualified individuals who play an active role in the successful management of both national and corporate economies, admitted its first students in the 2013-2014 academic year.

 

The program's curriculum is structured in accordance with the ECTS (European Credit Transfer System), which increases cooperation among higher education institutions in Europe and opens the door to international education and experience for students. To encourage interdisciplinary studies, the program includes compulsory and elective courses from various departments. The Department of Economics and Finance graduated its first students in the 2016-2017 academic year.
