İGÜ Department of Psychology Research Assistant Zehra Nur Kurtoğlu Represented Our University with a Poster Presentation at an International Conferenc


Zehra Nur Kurtoğlu, Research Assistant in the Department of Psychology at Istanbul Gelişim University, presented her poster titled "Applying Episodic Specificity Induction to Career-Oriented Future Event Construction" at the Autobiographical Processing and Psychopathology Conference 2026, hosted by the University of Plymouth (United Kingdom). She attended the conference together with Kadir Has University, where she is currently pursuing her doctoral studies.


Zehra Nur Kurtoğlu, Research Assistant in the Department of Psychology at the Faculty of Economics, Administrative and Social Sciences of Istanbul Gelişim University, presented her research on an international academic platform at the Autobiographical Processing and Psychopathology Conference 2026, which she attended together with Kadir Has University, where she is pursuing her PhD.

Hosted by the University of Plymouth (United Kingdom), the conference brought together researchers and scholars from around the world. During the event, Kurtoğlu presented her poster entitled "Applying Episodic Specificity Induction to Career-Oriented Future Event Construction" to the international scientific community.

The presentation explored the potential contribution of the Episodic Specificity Induction (ESI) method, which facilitates the retrieval of detailed autobiographical memories, to the construction of career-oriented future events. The study focuses on the relationship between autobiographical memory and future thinking, aiming to contribute to the fields of cognitive and clinical psychology.

The international conference brought together researchers working on autobiographical memory, future thinking, psychopathology, and cognitive processes, providing an important platform for sharing current research findings and fostering international academic collaboration.

Zehra Nur Kurtoğlu's poster presentation at this international scientific event contributed to the international academic visibility of Istanbul Gelişim University while further supporting the university's scientific research and scholarly activities in the field of psychology.
