IGU Psychology Department Res. Asst. İrem Uyar Conducted an Academic Visit to University of Padua under Erasmus Staff Training Mobility

Res. Asst. İrem Uyar, on behalf of the Department of Psychology at Istanbul Gelisim University, carried out an academic visit to the University of Padua within the scope of the Erasmus Staff Training Mobility+ program in order to enhance academic collaboration with Assoc. Prof. Marco Tullio Liuzza.

During the visit, Res. Asst. İrem Uyar presented her master’s thesis in an academic setting and, in particular, delivered a scientific presentation of her study titled “Orthorexia in the Digital Age: Exploring Behavioral Immune System Perspective and Cognitive, Affective, Behavioral Pathways.” This study examines orthorexic behaviors in the digital age through the behavioral immune system perspective, offering a comprehensive analysis of cognitive, affective, and behavioral processes.

She also introduced Istanbul Gelisim University, sharing information about its academic structure and research areas, thereby contributing to the university’s international academic visibility.

Throughout the program, she participated in seminars, workshops, and various scientific events, engaging with researchers from different disciplines and gaining the opportunity to observe current academic approaches in practice. Her interactions with graduate students also contributed to strengthening academic networks.

This visit is expected to further strengthen academic cooperation between Istanbul Gelisim University and the University of Padua and to enhance international research collaboration in the field of psychology.
