“What’s the Name of the Film?” Documentary Meets Students at IGU
The film screening and online talk titled “What’s the Name of the Film?: A Documentary on Women Directors of the ’68 Generation” will be held on February 19, 2026. The event focuses on the works and experiences of women directors from the 1968 generation whose visibility in film history has remained limited.
Following the screening, the documentary’s director, academic and filmmaker Pınar Fontini, will meet with participants to discuss the production process, the research phases, and the historical significance of the ’68 generation for women filmmakers. The talk will be moderated by Asst. Prof. Bilge İpek.
