Applications Open for TUREB’s Sixth-Phase Practice Tour
The Union of Tourist Guides’ Chambers (TUREB) has opened applications for its Sixth-Phase Practice Tour, designed for tourism guidance students, graduates and regional tourist guides. Applications for the tour, which is planned to cover all seven geographical regions of Türkiye, will remain open until 5 September 2026. The Union of Tourist Guides’ Chambers (TUREB) has announced that it will organise its Sixth-Phase Practice Tour in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Türkiye. Organised in accordance with Law No. 6326 on the Tourist Guiding Profession and the related regulations, the practice tours are intended for tourist guide candidates and regional tourist guides seeking to add new regions to their professional licences.
Applications Close on 5 September 2026
Applications for TUREB’s Sixth-Phase Practice Tour will be accepted between 17 August and 5 September 2026. Applicants must complete the process through TUREB’s relevant online application system.
The programme covers practice tours planned for the Marmara, Aegean, Mediterranean, Central Anatolia, Black Sea, Eastern Anatolia and Southeastern Anatolia regions. The tours are expected to take place in September, October and November.
Each tour group must have at least 40 participants for the programme to proceed. Programmes that do not receive sufficient applications may be postponed or cancelled.
Who Can Apply?
According to the eligibility requirements announced by TUREB, applications are open to:

Graduates of associate, undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in tourist or tourism guidance,

Students of tourist or tourism guidance programmes who have completed at least 50% of the total credits required by their programme,

Students enrolled in thesis or non-thesis master’s programmes who have completed the coursework stage,

Regional tourist guides who meet the relevant legal requirements and wish to add a new region to their professional licences.
Regional tourist guides who obtained their licences through Ministry courses or TUREB certificate programmes must have worked actively as tourist guides for at least two years in the region stated on their licences. The announcement specifies that this requirement does not apply to regional tourist guides who have graduated from a tourist or tourism guidance programme.
Required Application Documents
Tourism guidance students and graduates must upload the following documents to the online application system:

A valid identity document,

A student certificate or graduation certificate,

An approved transcript showing the applicant’s completed credits,

A biometric photograph taken within the past six months,

A criminal record certificate.
Student certificates, graduation certificates and criminal record certificates can be obtained through Türkiye’s e-Government Gateway. Approved transcripts may be obtained from the relevant faculty’s student affairs office or the university’s student information system.
Applications containing incomplete documentation will not be evaluated. Applicants are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the documents they submit and for completing all application procedures within the specified period.
How to Complete the Application
Tourism guidance students and graduates must begin the registration process through TUREB’s student application system. Following identity verification, applicants must enter the requested contact details and upload the required documents.
Once the documents have been reviewed and approved by TUREB, applicants may proceed with the remaining registration steps outlined in the official announcement. Applicants must contact the relevant travel agency to complete the final registration process.
As the availability of single rooms is limited, applicants requesting single-room accommodation should indicate their preference during the application process. Tour dates, departure points and accommodation arrangements may also be changed when necessary.
