The Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) has released tourism statistics for the July-September period of this year. According to the data, tourism revenue increased by 13.1% compared to the same quarter of the previous year, reaching 20,225,317,000 dollars during this period.
Out of the total tourism revenue, 16.5% was generated by foreign nationals visiting Turkey. Visitors organized their trips either individually or through package tours. Personal expenditures accounted for 14,644,632,000 dollars of the total expenses during this period, while package tour expenses amounted to 5,580,686,000 dollars.
