The Tourism Education Evaluation and Accreditation Board (TURAK), which carries out quality assurance and accreditation activities in the field of tourism education, has officially launched its renewed institutional website. The new website aims to make information about accreditation processes more accessible while serving as an important communication and information platform for stakeholders in tourism education.
Designed with a user-friendly interface, the new website provides easy access to a wide range of information including accreditation processes, evaluation criteria, institutional structure, reports, and announcements. Through the new platform, higher education institutions, academics, students, and sector representatives in the field of tourism education will be able to follow TURAK’s activities more closely.
Academics from the Tourism Guidance Department of Istanbul Gelisim University also took an active role in the development of the new website. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Serdar Egeli and Research Assistant A. Mecid Vergül, who serve on the TURAK Internationalisation Committee, contributed to the content development and structuring of the website, supporting the visibility of quality assurance activities in tourism education. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Serdar Egeli also serves as the Istanbul Provincial Chair of the Tourism Academics Association (TUADER).
The renewed website aims to facilitate access to information about accreditation processes in tourism education and strengthen communication between higher education institutions and sector stakeholders. It is also expected to enhance the visibility of TURAK’s activities carried out in line with national and international quality assurance standards.
