International New Media Conference on “Surveillance Capitalism” at Istanbul Gelisim University
Istanbul Gelisim University will host the 8th International New Media Conference on December 4-5, 2025. This year’s theme addresses one of the most debated issues of today’s digital world: “Surveillance Capitalism: Algorithms and Culture.”
The conference will focus on current discussions surrounding new media, algorithms, and surveillance culture.
The invited speakers of the event are Lemi Baruh and Özgür Narin, both recognized for their significant work in this field. Throughout the conference, participants will have the opportunity to engage in various presentations, panels, and discussions.
The conference is organized in collaboration with the Department of New Media and Communication and the Department of Radio, Television and Cinema at Istanbul Gelisim University.
