Special Panel for March 8 at Istanbul Gelisim University

Organized by the Gender Studies Application and Research Center of İstanbul Gelişim Üniversitesi, a panel titled “Ecology, Violence, Employment” will be held as part of the International Women’s Day events. The event will address the multifaceted experiences of women, ranging from ecological struggles to employment, and from combating violence to advancing social equality. Issues of gender equality and sustainability will be comprehensively discussed.

The panel will take place on Monday, March 9, 2026, between 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM at K Block Firnas Auditorium. Expert academics will participate as speakers. The program will feature Asst. Prof. Selda Tunç Subaşı, Director of the Gender Studies Application and Research Center (GSARC), Asst. Prof.Diler Ezgi Tarhan, Vice Director of GSARC, and Asst. Prof. Seyra Kestel, Vice Director of GSARC, who will meet with participants.

At the panel, which will be held within the framework of women’s labor, gender equality, and sustainability, current issues and proposed solutions will be opened for discussion.
