Our Aviation Management Department Turkish and English departments completed an important field event aimed at contributing to student development, led by Asst. Prof. Fatih Kılıç, with the participation of Asst. Prof. Aylin Atasoy, Res. Asst. Çağlar Karakurt, and Res. Asst. Onur Tayfun. Our 2nd year students studying in the English and Turkish programs organized a technical trip to Ayjet Flight School, operating at İstanbul Hezarfen Airfield, which is considered the heart of the aviation sector.
The trip, carried out in two separate groups on November 11, 2025 and November 18, 2025, was held within the scope of the
"Aircraft General Knowledge (
Hava Aracı Temel Bilgisi)" course, which is one of the basic courses of the department, aiming to combine our students' academic knowledge with operational processes. During the trip, our students had the opportunity to closely see the flight school's facilities, training aircraft, and simulators. Our students, who received detailed information from sector professionals about the management of flight operations, aircraft maintenance, and the administrative functioning of a pilotage school, gained valuable insights into their future career paths. This technical trip reinforced our Aviation Management (Turkish-English) Department students' theoretical knowledge and provided an opportunity to see the dynamics of the sector on site.
