In 2025, Istanbul Airport served a total of 84.3 million passengers, successfully managed 547,000 flights, and set a national record in Türkiye with an average of 1,707 daily flights. This award stands as a significant indicator of the airport’s ability to manage such a high and complex level of operations and to develop effective solutions during disruptions.
The award ceremony was held at the IGA Lounge in the International Departures Terminal of Istanbul Airport, with the participation of Istanbul Airport CEO Selahattin Bilgen and Cirium CEO Jeremy Bowen. During the ceremony, Bilgen emphasized that this award is a source of great pride not only for Istanbul Airport but also for the Turkish aviation sector. Bowen highlighted that the performance improvement demonstrated by Istanbul Airport represents a global success.
