In the Istanbul Gelisim University’s dynamic ambient, where our students in different disciplines learn from each other, we are at your disposal to gain the knowledge, skills and experience that you will need for sustainable success in the increasingly competitive business environment.
The Department of Economics and Finance primarily focus on "Sustainable Finance and Risk Management", which enables economic and financial analysis from business level to a global perspective by a learner-centered training model. In this context, considering Turkey's unique economic and financial characteristics in the global economy, we strive to raise proactive, value-added individuals equipped with the necessary economic and financial matters to understand and manage opportunities and threats in advance. From this point of view, we act with an approach, which combines the latest theoretical developments in the literature and the innovations in practice.
In order to include our students in international business life, we offer unlimited foreign language learning opportunities during their education. We provide opportunities for our students to experience multiculturalism through learning opportunities in the Erasmus program and at the partner universities in Europe.
Our students have a chance to strengthen their education with double major or minor programs while studying in the Department of Economics and Finance. Students educated in the programs of different disciplines gain skills to enhance their future business opportunities in this way. There is no additional charge for it.
Our students' career planning is guided by our career office, as well as by the counsellors assigned to each of our students. Following the undergraduate education, it is encouraged to continue their graduate and doctoral education with the exceptional opportunities offered to our students.
