Our Faculty Member from the Department of Economics and Finance Participated as a Distinguished Speaker at an International Conference in London!

Dr. Burçin Çakır Gündoğdu, faculty member of the Department of Economics and Finance at Istanbul Gelisim University and Deputy Director of the Economic Policy Application and Research Center (İPUAM), participated as a Distinguished Speaker at the “5th Global Summit on Advances in Earth Science and Climate Change”, held in London on September 24–25, 2026.

During the conference, Dr. Burçin Çakır Gündoğdu presented her study entitled “Climate Change Addressing through Green Technology and Environmental Policy Instruments: An Economic Perspective and Implications for Recycling.” The study examined the role of green technologies, environmental policy instruments, and recycling practices in addressing climate change from an economic perspective, while also evaluating the significance of these policies and practices for sustainable development.

The presentation delivered at this international academic platform contributed to enhancing the international visibility of the academic work carried out by the Department of Economics and Finance in the fields of environmental economics, sustainable development, and contemporary economic policy.
