 About the Courses on the Theory of Deconstruction




Deconstruction can be defined as a poststructuralist criticism on the Metaphysics of Presence, which is logocentric and Platonic. It incorporates such poststructuralist theories as feminism(s), postcolonialism, and psychoanalysis in its endavour to lay bare the working mechanisms of the logocentric Western metaphysics, which consists of logocentric/phallogocentric Western tradition and the grand narratives it produces. The French thinker Jacques Derrida can be regarded as the leading figure of the theory deconstruction.

The main field of study that the curriculum of the English Language and Literature programme focuses on is the theory of deconstruction. The courses in the programme's curriculum which incorporate the theory of deconstruction are as follows:
