During the meeting, a general presentation was delivered regarding the academic and administrative activities carried out throughout the Spring Semester. Faculty members of the department also contributed by sharing information about their academic work, departmental events, and ongoing projects conducted during the term. Additionally, proposed activities and events planned for the upcoming period were discussed.
The meeting addressed the contributions of cooperation protocols signed with experienced external stakeholders from the industry to the educational processes. It was noted that visits by students to external institutions and talks given by stakeholders visiting the university provided valuable insights for students regarding different career paths and internship opportunities. Efforts to strengthen relations with alumni stakeholders were also brought to the agenda.
It was emphasized that feedback received from external stakeholders has been reflected in the curriculum development processes. Within the scope of the Erasmus program, the experiences of faculty members teaching at universities abroad and the contributions of visiting international academics to our faculty were also evaluated. A consensus was reached on the importance of continuing and increasing international academic mobility in the coming periods.
These evaluation meetings on the academic structure and educational activities of departments play a crucial role in analyzing the current status of academic units, identifying areas for improvement, and enhancing the quality of education in a sustainable manner. Therefore, they will continue to be held regularly at the end of each academic term.
