Negative externalities created by carbon emissions reduce the welfare of individuals and cause environmental problems. In this context, there are various practices implemented by governments to reduce carbon emissions. One of them is to introduce environmental taxation practices. In this way, it is aimed to reduce overall emissions by increasing the cost of creating carbon emissions.
For this purpose, one of the academicians of our department, Res. Asst. Cengizhan Güler and Asst. Prof. Başak Doğan Özarslan from the International Trade and Business Department investigated whether the desired results of this taxation were achieved in the G-7 countries.
