Istanbul Gelisim University, which is advancing confidently towards 'internationalization', has become one of the esteemed members of IAESTE, which facilitates intern exchange programs worldwide. Thanks to IAESTE, which provides opportunities for reciprocal intern exchanges, IGU students will gain international work experience.
IAESTE, founded in 1948 at the Imperial College in London by the initiatives of 10 countries, was joined by Turkey in 1955. IGU, which has membership in one of the few universities in Türkiye in the internship exchange program of the International Association for the Exchange of Students for Technical Experience (IAESTE), which includes more than 100 countries worldwide, added another activity to its vision of being a 'World University'. Facilitating students' participation in international scientific studies, especially in engineering and technical fields, IAESTE provides internship opportunities worldwide.
IGU Vice Rector Prof. Arda Öztürkcan, speaking about the accreditation efforts carried out by Istanbul Gelisim University to enable students to receive education freely without limiting their dreams, said, "In addition to the comprehensive education we provide within IGU, we also value our students gaining international work experience. With 65 accredited departments, we are the first in Turkey, bringing our students together with the whole world on the path of internationalization."
IGU students can gain international work experience
IGU students, within the framework of the IAESTE project, will have the opportunity to work as interns in many countries such as Australia, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, France, Germany, Japan, Norway, Portugal, Sweden, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and the United States, experiencing different cultures. Thanks to IAESTE, experienced and qualified students from all over the world will come together at IGU.
Through IAESTE, students will have the opportunity to work as interns with international qualifications. In addition to learning the working principles and projects of different countries, students will also be able to develop themselves socially. Successful students studying at Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU) can return to the country as qualified workers with international competence while interns from abroad will acquire working principles at IGU's quality.
