The First Global Artificial Intelligence Security Summit Was Held

For the first time in the world, the artificial intelligence security summit was held at Bletchley Park in the UK. Representatives from 28 countries, including the US, China, and the EU, and leading artificial intelligence companies attended the summit.

The selection of Bletchley Park as the venue for the 2023 Artificial Intelligence Security Summit and the signing of the Bletchley Declaration are historically significant. Bletchley Park was the hub of the UK's cryptographic work during World War II, hosting brilliant minds such as Alan Turing.

The Bletchley Declaration, which emerged from the consensus of 28 countries, outlines the main lines of a common vision to promote security and ethical issues in the development and distribution of artificial intelligence. It is acknowledged that very dangerous situations that AI will cause knowingly or unknowingly can be seen. It emphasizes the importance of human rights, transparency, openness, justice, accountability, regulation, safety, human surveillance, ethical behavior, reduction of biased situations, privacy, and protection of data protection.

The summit of AI security marks a promising start for international cooperation on an issue considered a serious global threat. AI security summits will continue to be held regularly; will be planned to be held in Korea in the next six months and in France a year later.

These summits are expected to be as inclusive as the Bletchley Declaration had hoped and to encourage global cooperation on AI safety.
