2025–2026 Summer School | Calendar and Registration Information

Dear Students,

Please find below the calendar and important information regarding the 2025–2026 academic year summer school process.

Summer school is an optional program that allows students to take courses they were unable to take during the fall and spring semesters, courses they failed, or courses they wish to retake in order to improve their grades.

For a course to be offered in summer school, at least 10 students must register for the relevant course. Courses that do not meet the required number of registered students will be closed, and students will be allowed to switch to another available course.

Attendance is compulsory for all courses taken during summer school. Course add/drop and course withdrawal procedures are not applied in summer school. In addition, students cannot take courses from upper semesters during summer school; only courses that have been previously taken or failed may be retaken.

2025–2026 Summer School Calendar

• Announcement of courses to be offered: 29.06.2026 – 10.07.2026

• Online course registration: 13.07.2026 – 18.07.2026

• Start of classes: 20.07.2026

• Midterm exams: 10.08.2026 – 14.08.2026

• End of classes: 28.08.2026

• Final exams: 29.08.2026 – 05.09.2026

• Announcement of final exam results: 29.08.2026 – 09.09.2026

If a course is not offered at İGÜ during summer school, students may take the course from another university, provided that the course content and local credits are equivalent, and subject to the approval of the Department Chair and the relevant administrative board.

Students are kindly advised to follow the registration process through the Student Information System (OBS) and to contact their academic advisors when necessary.
