Organized by Fotofilm Kültür Sanat and Ansam Kültür Derneği with the support of the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, the 4th International Haliç Goldenhorn Film Festival took place from December 2 to 7, 2024, at Beyoğlu Cinema, bringing together film enthusiasts. The festival was founded and chaired by Mehmet Oflazoğlu, while Assoc. Prof. Dr. Begüm Aylin Önder served as the festival director and the host of the award ceremony. The event welcomed jury members, producers, directors, actors, and cinema enthusiasts.
In collaboration with the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, İBB Kültür, and Istanbul Arel University’s Faculty of Communication and Student Dean’s Office, film screenings and discussions were held at İBB Beyoğlu Cinema. A selection of 85 films from 30 countries was presented across categories such as Feature Fiction, Short Fiction, Feature Documentary, Short Documentary, Experimental Short, Animated Short, and Screenplay. All events were open to the public and free of charge.
Our department head, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Taylan Maral, and faculty member, Dr. Abdulkadir Büyükbinöl, participated in the festival as pre-jury members.
