 Are we really ready to happiness?




In our university were actualized an activity about happiness fort he purpose of help to students recognize themselves better and create awareness in their psychological world with the participation expert psychologist/sociologist Bahar Akoğlu.
Definition of happiness was done in terms of psychology, philosophy, and literature. It was discussed about happiness researches up to now and obstacle in front of happiness.
‘The longest scientific research has been going on for 75 years.’ Expert psychologist referring to the research of happiness starting in 1930’s and still continuing. She was indicated loneliness is dangerous for soul and body, secret of being happy and healthy is good relationships. It was discussed sense of suffering,  fact of loss and mourning, the difficulties of loving ourselves psychological aspects.
She was provided with head of ‘Sadness and depression are not the same thing.’  to students who have information about balances in mental health.
She was acquaint about what need to watch out with the head of  ‘Sadness is a normal emotion. It has time and limits. There is sense of reality. Depression is a mental disease.’
She was make a point to social support and it was touch upon about their time and energy required to spend the right direction from the results of important scientific studies.
‘It would be happiness with money?’
‘Money is not a condition for happiness. If we fulfil our basic needs, happiness is not a criterion.’
Also she did self-confidence study by name ‘draw the monster inside’ with using psychotherapy exercise. Students had the opportunity to ask own individual troubles to expert at the end of the seminar. It was aimed students makes happy themselves of 3 things in every evening than noted this and realize happiness. Finally it was finished with belonging to Dostoyevski ‘ Human likes only count own troubles, does not count own happiness.’
