Covid-19 and Mental Health
The psychological reactions that people experience during the pandemic can range from a feeling of extreme fear to a feeling of indifference. The psychological effects during this period may be short-lived, or they may lead to permanent mental problems. As a result of the studies, the most common mental disorders during the pandemic process; mood disorders, anxiety disorders, and post-traumatic stress disorder 1.
The epidemic process has affected the lives of hundreds of millions of people and changed the way we socialize, work, study and live. Mental health problems such as anxiety, sleep problems, depression, and stress-related distress have increased, and this may be due to people's anxiety about getting infected, increased work pressure, lifestyle changes, or worsening living conditions due to the pandemic 2,3.
The course of the pandemic is constantly changing, and the studies discussed help us to draw inferences about a particular course of the pandemic. However, with the measures taken and practices (for example, quarantine) to prevent the spread of the pandemic throughout the ongoing process, the pandemic process still continues to affect people's mental health in various ways 4.
