The Department of Psychology at Istanbul Gelişim University (IGU) contributed to the 22nd National Psychology Congress with a panel titled “Change Through Gratitude: Cognitive, Social, and Neuroscientific Approaches.”
The panel was chaired by Dr. Selcen Yetkin Özden, Head of the Department of Psychology at IGU, and featured Dr. Hatice Kübra Aydın from Mudanya University and Research Assistant İrem Uyar from IGU as speakers.
During the session, the participants discussed the effects of gratitude on neuroscientific and cognitive processes, social relationships, and psychological well-being from multiple scientific perspectives. The speakers shared recent research findings and explored the transformative power of gratitude through cognitive, social, and neuroscientific approaches.
Emphasizing an interdisciplinary perspective in the field of psychology, the IGU Department of Psychology continues to contribute to scientific knowledge and promote academic collaboration through such scholarly events.
