As part of the event, the development of feelings of helplessness in individuals, the societal dimensions of this perception, and its psychological effects were discussed. Özgenur Taşkın addressed the negative impact of the concept of learned helplessness on individual motivation and offered both scientific and practical suggestions for coping with it. The event, which explored topics such as strategies for increasing psychological resilience and ways to foster hope and awareness, provided participants with a meaningful and eye-opening experience.
Participants engaged not only in discussions about individual psychological processes but also exchanged ideas on how they could contribute to society within the framework of social responsibility. Possible actions at both individual and societal levels were discussed, and solution-oriented approaches were developed with a shared sense of responsibility.
At the end of the event, participants expressed that they gained valuable insights from the experience and stated their intention to apply what they learned both in their personal lives and in future social responsibility projects. The IGU Psychology Club’s Social Responsibility Team announced that they will continue their awareness-based initiatives grounded in psychology in the coming period.
