Within the scope of the Erasmus+ Teaching Mobility program, Associate Professor Ekaterine Pirtskhalava from Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University visited Türkiye and participated in the “racism and critical psychology” session of the Critical Psychology course conducted in the Department of Psychology. She attended the class as a guest of Assoc. Prof. Berk Efe Altınal and delivered a lecture focusing on her academic work and research areas.
Following the lecture, a roundtable meeting titled “working with marginalized groups in qualitative research” was organized under the Psychology Application and Research Center (PSIKOMER). During the meeting, faculty members and PSIKOMER participants discussed fieldwork practices, ethical considerations, researcher positioning, and methodological aspects of qualitative research with marginalized groups.
Hosted by Istanbul Gelisim University’s Department of Psychology and PSIKOMER, the event contributed to strengthening international academic collaboration and fostering scientific exchange.
