On November 5 at 2:00 p.m., Istanbul Gelisim University’s Office of Student Dean organized a seminar titled “Immature Parents’ Immature Children”, presented by Asst. Prof. Dr. Nurhan Naz. The event drew significant attention from university students and academic staff.
During her presentation, Dr. Naz emphasized the crucial role of parental maturity in the emotional development of children. She pointed out that parents’ emotional awareness and level of maturity form the foundation for their children’s sense of security, self-esteem, and social relationships.
The seminar also explored the impact of family dynamics on individuals’ psychological structure, the importance of healthy boundaries within the parent-child relationship, and the emotional difficulties that may arise in children as a result of immature parenting attitudes.
The program concluded with an interactive session where participants had the opportunity to ask questions. Students expressed that the seminar enhanced their self-awareness and provided valuable insights for their future psychological studies.
