8 March World Women's Day Dynamic Dimensions For Women


On March 8, International Women's Day, the Çatalca Governorate and the Istanbul Developmental University Gender Studies Implementation and Research Center cooperated with the Center to perform the activity to say 'stop' against women.
 Çatalca Governorate held an interview with Istanbul Gelişim University within the action plan she created to draw attention to the violence against the woman. The program organized on March 8, 2018 was organized by Çatalca District Governor İnci Sezer Becel, Çatalca District Director of National Education Ahmet Sacak, Çatalca Deputy Mayor Dursun Duran Kaya and women.
On behalf of the Istanbul University of Development, Gender Studies Practice and Research Center Director Assoc. Dr. Thanksgiving Guzin Ilıcak Aydınalp made a presentation. Participants came together with a strong female figure in the history of the AYDINALP speaking, is what women's rights, the concept of violence against women, the extent of violence in Turkey and about the importance of International Women's Day.

Center Manager Aydinalp stated that women are victims of physical, economic, sexual psychological violence, expressing that one of every three females is exposed to different dimensions of violence in the world. "Women have negative opinions about themselves, they believe that their husbands will change, economic necessities, the need of the child for the father, and the need for the child alone," he said.
