Fatma Kandemir interviewed Corporate Communications Practitioner Zelal Yıldırım of Medical Park Hospital to get to know the corporate communication department that the students of Public Relations and Publicity Department can work with. Our student's interview is as follows:

How did you choose the Corporate Communication Profession: “I thought corporate communication was for me”
When I was a student, my mentor would ask me what I wanted to be, and he would do surveys on it. My predisposition was that I was talkative. I liked to talk and my communication was strong. This field was for me as communication was important in this profession.

Did you work in the Corporate Communications Department in the first years of your graduation: “We didn't do corporate communication, we learned journalism”
When I graduated, I started working on TV. First I worked as an assistant in TV8 for a year. We didn't do corporate communication. So I learned about this area. I learned that I could turn what I heard into writing and news. Televisions are part of corporate communication

How Your Publicity Activities Are Carried Out: “We have activities as an organization according to the target audience”
The hospital has about 15 departments. We are introducing the hospital to the patients inside and people outside. Inside the hospital advertising activities; poster design, we are making brochure. We put these promotions everywhere we see in the hospital.

What Is The Difference Of Health Sector From Other Sectors: “Dealing With People…”
The health sector is more difficult to deal with people than other sectors. For example, a bank's corporate communication is very different to the hospital. It is also important to be in good communication with doctors and to recognize them.

What are the most important characteristics of the employees of corporate communication: “be Positive and open to communication”
The most important features that should be in the employees of corporate communication are positive and open to communication. You need empathy. It is important to think multidimensionally. For example, when you're in the office, you write a text and someone is entering the room and wants to ask you a question. You should be interested in both the work you have and the ones in your hand. You need to adjust the time management well. You must be motivating.

What are the Advantages of Women Employees?
The advantages of female employees are that they are more talkative than men. The disadvantages are; for example, to leave permission to be pregnant and stay away from the corporate. Therefore, it may be necessary to interrupt the activities carried out.

What is important in copywriting: “remarkability in text writing Important”
For text writing, attention is an important detail. We've got a letter to write about health. When we get this article from doctors, sometimes we can't find anything that will attract the attention of the reader. For example, if the subject is prostate cancer, we write this issue as tomatoes are good for cancer. Because the article that we will put in the magazine should be remarkable that the reader should read our article.

Your Recommendations: “Definitely Do Internship”
Benefit from internship opportunities. In the media, you can do an internship on television. There are also trainees in these areas. There are a lot of institutions looking for a compulsory trainee or volunteer intern. I suggest you evaluate them. Read plenty of books for authorship. Diction training is also important
