Students of the Department of Public Relations and Publicity celebrated the Republic Day with children with leukemia

Istanbul Gelisim University LÖSEV club spends time with the students who volunteer every week, together with the children who are being treated for leukemia in hospitals. In this context, the students of the Public Relations and Publicity Department informed all children, both local and foreign, who were receiving treatment, about the Republic Day. Information was given about the founder of the Turkish Republic, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and Atatürk's principles.
 
During the visit, a board describing the Republic Day was prepared in order to attract the attention of the children. The hospital environment was transformed into a feast environment by making visual decorations with balloons. Songs were sung and danced with the children as part of the visit, with the participation of children, their families, doctors, nurses and other hospital staff, in order to give morale a boost to children with leukemia.
 
At the end of the visit, which was carried out to give morale to the children and their families, Okumuş and Kandemir said, “Will you come again with a child? His question was the most valuable sentence that told us about their satisfaction”. The visit ended with the gifts of Atatürk printed t-shirts to the children.
