Receiving awards from many national and international festivals for his film "Görülmüştür", Serhat Karaaslan's new short film "Suçlular" was awarded the "Jury Special Screenplay Award" at the 2021 Sundance Film Festival.
Starring Ercan Kesal, Lorin Merhart, Erdem Şenocak and Deniz Altan, the film is about a married couple, university students, searching for a hotel in the city for a romantic night but rejecting them because they do not have a marriage certificate. The film, which received production support from the French National Cinema Center CNC, was shot in partnership with Arte television.
