Having graduated from Istanbul Aydın University's Radio, Television and Cinema and Journalism departments, Buket Kahraman successfully continues her career as a manager with the Buket Kahraman Talent Management company, which she founded, in addition to her professions such as acting, columnist, radio program production. As part of the Actor Management event, Buket Kahraman shared her experiences in the industry since her undergraduate years. Referring to the importance of having knowledge in every field within the sector, Kahraman emphasized that it is also important to specialize in one field. Stating that the managerial profession is a profession that requires patience and dedication, Kahraman said that management is not in a position to save the actor/actress’ on a budget as it used to be, and that managers are now the language of the players. Stating how the relationship between the management-production-casting directorate, which are three important branches in the sector, is maintained, Kahraman stated that effective use of social media is very important for students who want to enter the sector.
Sinan Albayrak, who graduated from the State Conservatory of Istanbul University, talked about his experiences since his undergraduate years and how the relations between a manager and actor are shaped. At the event, where it was discussed that a actor/actress’ cannot exist in the sector only with the perception of beauty, Albayrak emphasized that it is very important for a actor/actress to do sports, to eat healthy, to be faithful and to have intellectual knowledge. The event ended with answering questions from the participants.
