On April 22, 2025, the Department of Sociology met with members of the Social Network Association, one of its external stakeholders, in the department’s meeting room. Faculty members of the department and representatives from the Sociology Club also participated in the meeting.
In the first part of the meeting, feedback was gathered from external stakeholders and students regarding the draft of the new curriculum planned for implementation in the 2025-2026 academic year. The participants’ contributions provided valuable insights that significantly enriched the curriculum development process.
Following this, the Social Network Association shared details of an awareness campaign they are planning to launch, aimed at increasing the visibility of sociology in both the public and private sectors and enhancing the professional recognition of the field. Potential collaborations between the Department of Sociology and the association within this framework were discussed.
The Association also informed the faculty members about an ongoing project, opening the door for future joint initiatives and cooperation opportunities. Additionally, they provided updates on their current activities, taking positive steps toward strengthening their collaboration with the department.
The meeting concluded in a productive and constructive atmosphere, laying the foundation for future joint endeavors.
