Department of Sociology
In parallel with the continuously changing social facts and problems in our age, the requirement for sociological science and sociologists is increasing every day. Being one of the most prefered departments of our day, the Department of Sociology, which carries out its studies under the body of Istanbul Gelisim University, Faculty of Economics, Administrative and Social Sciences received its first students in 2013-2014 academic year.
The curriculum of the Department of Sociology is designed duly to the ECTS (European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System) in accordance with the internationalisation strategy of our university, and produced its first graduates in 2016-2017 academic year. The Department of Sociology, which provides theoretical and practical classes, continues to improve itself every year and to maintain its objective to contribute to science and society at all times.
