Sociology for Life and Profession Panel

The panel is holded with participation of with participation of head of Economy Department of İstanbul University and head of Sociology Department of Dogus University Prof.Dr. Sami Şener in Taskent Hall at Rectorate Building. While Veysel Bozkurt emphasizing the importance of scientific knowledge production and methodology in sociology, Sami Sener gave information about the scope of sociology as a profession and talked about the professional fields in which sociology graduates can develop themselves.

Participants discussed how sociology should be addressed as a discipline and the functioning of sociology in examining social events and social phenomena and answered the questions of listeners. At the end of the panel, Head of Sociology Department. Prof.Dr. F.Beylü Dikecligil presented the plaques thanks to the participants.
