Visit from the Ministry of Family and Social Services

On February 24, 2025, Deputy Provincial Director of the Ministry of Family and Social Services in Istanbul, Ms. Ebru Baysu Gazioğlu, and Istanbul Provincial Education Coordinator, Mr. Fatih Numan Turan, visited Istanbul Gelişim University as part of the "2025 Year of the Family" initiative. The visit took place at the University's Center for Gender Studies, hosted by the Center's Director, Dr. Selda Tunç Subaşı. The meeting was attended by academics from various departments, with the Department of Sociology and the Social Responsibility Practice and Research Center being represented by the Head of the Sociology Department and Center Director, Dr. Ayşe Aydın, as well as the Deputy Head of the Sociology Department and Deputy Director of the Center, Dr. Raheb Mohammadi Ghanbarlou. During the highly productive meeting, discussions were held on the steps that could be taken to establish a sustainable collaboration between Istanbul Gelişim University and the Ministry within the scope of the 2025 Year of the Family. It was emphasized that the planned activities between the University and the Ministry would not only contribute to students' professional development but also support raising social awareness. Once the necessary procedures are completed, these activities are expected to be implemented as soon as possible. The collaboration between Istanbul Gelişim University and the Ministry of Family and Social Services is anticipated to bring significant benefits to society.
