 Applications for the Attilâ İlhan Literature Awards Are Open


Applications for the Attilâ İlhan Literature Awards, organized by the Attilâ İlhan Foundation for Science, Arts and Culture with the support of Türkiye İş Bankası Kültür Yayınları, have started.


Applications for the Attilâ İlhan Literature Awards, organized for the eighth time this year in memory of poet, novelist, thinker, journalist, screenwriter and critic Attilâ İlhan, are now open.
 
Founded in 2008 by the Attilâ İlhan Foundation for Science, Arts and Culture, the competition is open to books published in 2022 in the fields of poetry and novels. 
 
With the Attilâ İlhan Literature Awards, it is aimed to support works that will be worthy of the mission of 'realizing national cultural composition'. The members of the Novel Selection Committee, chaired by Mehmet Eroğlu, include Deniz Yüce Başarır, Faruk Şüyün, Seval Şahin and Ali Cem İlhan on behalf of the family.
 
The Poetry Selection Committee is chaired by Metin Celal and includes A. Ali Ural, Adnan Özer, Tuğrul Tanyol and Kerem Alışık on behalf of the family.
 
Poets, writers or publishing houses participating in the competition must submit a signed letter and a short curriculum vitae indicating which category they are a candidate for (Attilâ İlhan Literature Award or Foundation Special Incentive Award), as well as the participation form to be downloaded and filled out from the foundation's website, and 10 copies of their books to the Attilâ İlhan Foundation for Science, Arts and Culture's Sıraselviler Caddesi, Billurcu Sokak No.26 Kat 2 Taksim, Beyoğlu - 34433 İstanbul address by Saturday, June 17.
 
The award-winning works will be announced in November 2023 after the evaluation of the Selection Committees.
