Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU) Department of Turkish Language and Literature organized an event in celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Turkey. The event on "Atatürk, Republic and Women" was held on Thursday, 26.10.2023 between 11:00-12:00 in the classroom K-505. Assoc Prof. Hacer Gülşen, Head of Turkish Language and Literature Department, was the speaker at the event. The event, organized within the scope of the "Women in Turkish Novel" course, witnessed the intense participation of the students. In the event, Hacer Gülşen emphasized the rights and new achievements of Turkish women, especially during the Republican period, and touched upon the sacrifices made by Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and his comrades-in-arms on the way to the Republic.
