Language, Thought and Literature Ensemble established by students of the Department of Economics, Administrative and Social Sciences, Department of Turkish Language and Literature; President of the Turkish Literature Foundation Serhat Kabaklı invited me to give a lecture to my university. The event, which was held on 17.04.2018 Tuesday at 11.00 in Gelişim Tower, started with the presentation of Serdar Kabaklı of the community president Sevda Güneş and then Serhat Kabaklı made his speech titled "Charitable Institution and Foundation Civilization".
Kabaklı continued his speech by referring to the place of the foundation in the Islamic civilization and how the concept of the foundation was understood in the Ottoman Empire and how the practices of the foundation worked. The speech ended with explaining how Kabaklı understood today's foundation and how foundations worked. Following the talk of explaining the concept of the foundation day by day with its historical origins, the students answered the questions of Kabaklı students.
University members and students listened with interest; the event ended with a plaque being presented to the speaker.
