Erdal Alova Became the Winner of the 2021 PEN Poetry Award
This year, the PEN Poetry Award was given to Erdal Alova, one of the important names of our literature as poet, translator, linguist, and editor.
This year's winner of the PEN Poetry Award, given by PEN International Turkey in the 21st March World Poetry Day context since 2009, was Erdal Alova.
In the statement made by PEN International, the following was stated: "We present the PEN Poetry Award to Erdal Alova with love, respect, and gratitude for his poetry that connects the multidimensional adventure of humanity from ancient times to the future."
Alova, who has a versatile personality and has accomplished significant works, won the Cemal Süreya Poetry Award in 1996, the Necatigil Poetry Award in 2009, and the Yunus Nadi Poetry Award in 2016.
