Hepsiburada, one of Turkey’s leading e-commerce platforms, has shared its book sales data for the first half of 2025. Between January 1 and June 30, more than 5 million books were ordered through the platform. Female readers stood out with 60% of all orders placed by women and 40% by men.
Among all categories, children’s books were the most preferred. All of the top 10 bestselling books on the platform were educational and entertaining titles aimed at children. At the top of the list was Sevginin Gücü by Caroline Richards, which explores themes of love and empathy.
Other titles in the top 10 included Küçük Meşe Palamudu – Doğanın Eşsiz Hikayeleri 2 by Melanie Joyce, Hayvanat Bahçesinde Diş Fırçalama Günü by Sophie Schoenwald, and Genel Kültür Kitabım – Tanıyorum by Çağrı Odabaşı.
Completing the top 10 were Uykusu Gelmeyen Porsuk and İnatçı Porsuk by Constanze von Kitzing, Hadi Sarılalım Anneciğim and Hadi Sarılalım Babacığım by Melanie Joyce, Kayıp Çileğin Sırrı – Masumiyet Karinesi by Ergün Kazanır, and Genel Kültür Kitabım – Konuşuyorum by Çağrı Odabaşı.
Among women readers, the most popular books included Sevginin Gücü, the Genel Kültür Kitabım series, and Hapı Yuttuk Eczanesi. Male readers also showed interest in these titles but particularly gravitated toward the personal development book Rezonans Kanunu by Pierre Franckh.
Outside of Turkey’s three largest cities, the most book orders came from Bursa, Kocaeli, Antalya, Konya, Adana, Tekirdağ, and Balıkesir. The most successful publishers in terms of sales were İş Bankası Kültür Yayınları, Sincap Kitap, and Yapı Kredi Yayınları.
The standout authors and titles by category were as follows:
Personal Development: Pierre Franckh (Rezonans Kanunu), Beyhan Budak (Hayat Acemileri İçin Yaşam Rehberi)
Parenting: Doğan Cüceloğlu (Geliştiren Anne-Baba), Saniye Bencik Kangal (Sınır Var Sinir Yok), Aletha Solter (Oyun Oynama Sanatı)
Literature: Matt Haig (Gece Yarısı Kütüphanesi), Ahmet Ümit (Yırtıcı Kuşlar Zamanı), Aslı Arslan (Beyaz Leke 2 – Özgürlük)

Among the newly published books in early 2025, the best-selling title was İlber Ortaylı’s Fatih Sultan Mehmed: Doğu’nun ve Batı’nın Efendisi. He was followed by Selçuk Şirin with Yetişin Babalar and Haruki Murakami with Şehir ve Belirsiz Duvarları.
These results show the growing interest in children’s literature and the strong demand for educational content, while also highlighting the continued diversity of reader preferences across personal development, history, and fiction categories.
