Applications for the award-winning "Story Contest," which will be held for the 5th time this year, traditionally organized by the Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality to support culture and arts, started to be accepted. In the competition, a total of 18,000 TL will be awarded, including 6,000 TL for the first, 5,000 TL for the second, 4,000 TL for the third, and 1000 TL honorable mentions each.
In the 4th Story Contest in 2020, as a result of the evaluation made by the jury, Hakan Unutmaz was the winner with the story " Yılkıdan Uyanmış Demir Atlar ", Aysel Kaymaz was the second with the story " Leylekler Bu Yıl da Gelmedi ", and Ahmet Hakan Karataş was the third with the story "Odalarda".
The conditions for participation in the competition are as follows:

Jury Members and their first-degree relatives cannot participate in the competition.

The subject of the contest is "free."

The story to participate in the competition must not have received a prize in any competition and must not have been published anywhere.

A writer can join the contest with only one story.

Those who receive awards in the story contests organized by Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality cannot participate.

The story should conform to the language and spelling rules of Turkish.

The length of the story should not exceed 7000 words. The jury will not evaluate longer stories.

The name and surname of the competitor who sent the story will not be included in the story's text. They can only be included in the application form.

Applications will be made on the Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality website, www.kayseri.bel.tr.

All publishing rights of the award-winning story belong to Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality.

The municipality will collect the winning stories or those deemed suitable for publication in a book without additional copyright permission.

It will start on 08/02/2021 and end at 00:00 on 30/04/2021.

The results of the competition will be announced on 21/06/2021.

The award ceremony date will be announced on the website of Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality or in the national and local press.
