Kemal Özer Poetry Awards Given

The 2021 winners of the "Kemal Özer Poetry Award," held annually by the poet Kemal Özer's family and Klaros Publications to honor the poet's memory, have been announced. Awards were given in the categories of files and books. As a result of the evaluations of the jury, which included Veysel Çolak, Yusuf Alper, Lokman Kurucu, Volkan Hacıoğlu, and Simge Özer on behalf of the poet's family, Halil İbrahim Özbay's book Yayı Eksik Viyola won the first prize, Eren Şahin's book Yıldızlı Sıfır won the Special Jury Award.
 
In the file category, as a result of the evaluations, Merih Elhan's Atı Sürüyorum won the grand prize, Burak Tokcan's Kırılgan Yüzler Albümü won the second prize, and Dilek Mayatürk's Bir Daha Yok Çiçeği won the third prize. Mesut Varlık's Akşam Provası were awarded the Special Jury Award. This year's Kemal Özer Poetry-Labor Prize was given to Tuncer Uçarol.
